ROCIO DELGADO
Rocio Delgado grew up in the mountain town of Ciales, Puerto Rico, spending summers on the beach in Vega Baja. She studied architecture and graduated with a degree in Fashion Design before moving to San Diego in 2006, where she earned a BS and Masters degree in healthcare administration. Her paintings often use vibrant colors to reflect her attachment and longing for the enchanting island of her youth. Oil is her favorite medium, and her recent paintings show a new maturity and elegance.
Her art has been exhibited at the Oceanside Museum of Art. Her first solo show was at Art Me, San Diego in 2019. In 2022, she received the Distinguished Artist Award 2022 from the National Conference of Puerto Rican Women.
