PHIL BOWER
Phil Bower has a love of all things modernist. In fact, the London, UK painter is a scooter riding Mod, whose painting subjects range from mid-century modern architecture, vintage bathing beauties, beaches and palm trees, Mini Coopers and Vespa scooters to 1960s UK musicians.
Phil lived and traveled in Asia for eight years working as a freelance photographer. Based in North Thailand, he made extensive travels on motorbike to Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. During that time, he developed his painting style, which emphasizes mid 20th century themes and colors.
His work has appeared on magazine, book, and record covers, as well as being sold at exhibitions worldwide.
