MJ is a mixed-medium artist based in Long Beach. Specializing in character design and illustration, they are inspired by fantasy stories and an overactive imagination. Art is wielded as an expressive tool, used to document thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Using pens, markers, and paint, MJ uses sketchbooks as visual diaries, recording everything from the day-to-day to the extraordinary.
