Jeffrey Tover
Jeffrey Tover is an award-winning Northern California abstract painter.  He has been painting consistently over the last decade after a long sabbatical from making art.  He is mostly self-taught but has studied under Glenn Hirsch at the San Francisco Art Institute in recent years.
Jeffrey’s fondness for abstract art has been from the love of color, form, and line, primarily inspired by the works of the Abstract Expressionist artists during the Post-World War II art movement of the 1940s and 1950s.    Influences include the works of Robert Motherwell, Joan Mitchell, Willem DeKooning and Cy Twombly.  Utilizing a wide variety of tools and materials to create his compositions, the artist’s creations are meant to create a deeper connection with the viewer and to develop a dialogue of mutual understanding through art.
Private and commercial collectors have purchased Jeffrey’s work throughout the USA and abroad including Europe, Asia and the Middle East.  He currently lives and maintains a studio in Benicia, CA.

“You have to be emotionally present to understand abstract art.  Its beauty is beyond definition.  Its seduction connects to your soul.”  Jeffrey Tover 2022
